Test or not?

Stepson arrived for the week end with heavy nasal cold symptoms, stomach ache, nausea and a temperature of 37.7. OH filled IH .gov symptom questionnaire and it said could be Corinavirus- speak to nurse on 111 and book a call. Had the call tonight (it was a Doctor) who said keep him off till Tuesday, if he still has a temp on Tuesday take him for a test. If not send him back to school.

Tonight his temp was down. But surely he needs a negative test before going back to school. We’re trying to decide whether to take him for a test tomorrow and OH needs to contact Mum and ask if we should keep him here or take him back. Mum just breached the summer holidays in a big way and is currently very hostile and threatening court and Cafcass at the drop of a hat which hardly makes for easy communication. Not sure what we should do. Whatever we do will be wrong and be WW3. So just need to decide what is best. Stepson would be a bit worried if we took him for a test without checking with Mum although OH has every right to do it.

If she wants him returned as usual then he probably won’t get taken for a test.

Any ideas ?
