Home test turnaround?

How long did you wait for the results from a home test?
Got my boss nagging me about when I'll be able to return to work.
Test coming tomorrow but will have to post Monday.

I posted at 4pm Tuesday afternoon, got my results just after 10am Friday morning

littlestpogo · 19/09/2020 20:07

I posted before last post Wednesday. Still haven’t got results ( starting to get a bit worried they are lost!).

Sadless · 19/09/2020 20:09

I posted mine yesterday and got a text about 1 hour ago so very quick here.

farfromthetree · 19/09/2020 22:16

Sent test on Tuesday at 4.20, received results Friday 3.50.

WingBingo · 19/09/2020 22:18

Test sent 5pm Monday, results Friday 8am. This was 2 weeks ago.

Cookerhood · 19/09/2020 22:23

Posted lunchtime Tuesday. Received at lab 7am Wednesday. Results 6am Friday. Missed a whole week of work :(

naughty40me · 19/09/2020 22:29

Posted off test Thursday 3.30pm
Results this afternoon (Saturday) about 4pm

wheresmyhairytoe · 19/09/2020 23:35

Tested Tuesday, results Friday

Torvean32 · 19/09/2020 23:47

There's a massive backlog. Results are prioritised in areas with out break, hospitals, care homes and front line stuff.

Some tests are being sent to france and italy as they outsourced the work.

Hazelmazel · 20/09/2020 08:53

I posted my dds test on Thursday and we're still waiting. Are people getting notifications when it's been received at a lab? Worried that we haven't heard anything at all yet.

ItsAHardKn0ckLife1 · 20/09/2020 09:10

Just marking my place...ordered 2 home test kits this morning for DC who’ve developed coughs. Pretty sure it’s a standard cold so hoping they don’t have to miss too much school.

covetingthepreciousthings · 20/09/2020 10:50

@Hazelmazel do you have the tracking info from the package? I took a pic of the box before we posted it then you can input it to the Royal Mail tracker to see if it's arrived

Also don't forget to register for results! When my Dh did a test a few months ago, he realised he'd forgotten to register to get the results!

Hazelmazel · 20/09/2020 10:59

Ah I think I forgot to take a picture. Definitely registered the kit though

Hazelmazel · 20/09/2020 17:47

I have just had the results message (negative - big sigh of relief) so that was from posting off on Thursday to Sunday afternoon for results, which is not bad.

littlestpogo · 20/09/2020 18:12

Hmm think I’m going to have to ring about mine. Posted Wednesday and still nothing. Definitely registered it. Not in a hotspot area though.

Sigh

Carpathian2 · 20/09/2020 18:15

I posted mine on Friday, I'm hoping for a text tomorrow. I'm not in a high risk area though.

HidingUnderMyDuvet · 20/09/2020 18:22

We posted on Tuesday at 5pm and got results on Thursday afternoon. Not too bad!

Armi · 20/09/2020 18:24

Posted Thursday, results 7a.m. this morning. Excellent service. So pleased we were able to have a ‘normal’ day before going back to school tomorrow.
