Out of sheer curiosity, I was wondering, if you test positive for corona virus does your GP get informed and this go on your medical records?

Yes. I have access to my records so I can see what goes where (I have chronic health issues so they let me have access to everything on their app). We had a test and it showed up as tests taken negative result. So yes a positive would show I'm sure and they know you've taken one.

Yes any test gets put on the record, positive or negative. (I have seen results on recorded when looking recently, none of them positive though!).
