Hello

My sister who is currently staying with me has been sent this text a day after doing her covid test and it seems a bit weird? I know there are scams going around with links but it does say NHS as sender. Can anyone please verify if you had a positive test?

NHS COVID-19 Notification: Dear.....

Sounds right, I got similar the day after mine but mine was negative.

Icantstopeatinglol · 18/09/2020 13:03

She might have an email too?

Whatwouldscullydo · 18/09/2020 13:06

I received a negative result and there was a really long text.

I also received an email saying the same.

Exactly what I had this morning but negative result

KittyMcKitty · 18/09/2020 13:12

Yes that’s what the texts say. Assuming she gave an email address she will get one of those too.

I’ve removed personal details but this is the text.

Sister tested positive?

Looks like you'll have to isolate for 14 days!

Jontysmum · 18/09/2020 13:51

Yep that's it. Email will arrive too

kimlo · 18/09/2020 13:53

that soinds loke the ones I've had except mine said negative. An email should come at about the same time.

RubyRose25 · 18/09/2020 13:54

Thank you! That's reassuring it was stressing us out but we can be sure it's correct

We have been and will continue to isolate as she is really unwell wouldn't wish this on anyone.

Hugs for your sister and you. Hope this passes quickly. 💐

@RubyRose25

We have been and will continue to isolate as she is really unwell wouldn't wish this on anyone.
I hope she feels better soon.

The current PHE guidance is that if anyone else in the household develops symptoms everyone (including your sister) needs to start counting 14 days again from the day the subsequent person develops symptoms.
