Testing of kids

Am I being cynical but why does the media keep Suggesting that test centres are over run by people concerned or confused about the symptoms. We all know that there are lots or parents and individuals who are getting themselves and their children tested just to get a negative test to get back to school or work. I completely understand why people would lie about having symptoms to get the test done and get back to school and work because otherwise you are stuck at home for 14 days. I'm just confused as to why no one is admitting this ?

If you have to show school/work a negative test, surely that's because you have been off with symptoms and therefore are eligible to be tested. I don't believe people are lying about symptoms just to get a test. What would be the point in that. No symptoms means you are free to go to work / school (unless isolating due to family member / or contacted by contact tracers etc).

I think sometimes if a child has a symptom then the whole family is unnecessarily been tested but it’s up to the government to make this clear. The website allows you to add 3 extra people but does not ask if they have symptoms.

There are people I know who have kids who have been sent home from school because The child has been in contact with someone who has tested positive. their own child is not showing any symptoms. They can only go back to school if they've had a negative test but you can only get a test if you have symptoms. Otherwise it's 14 days at home which is frustrating for some when they want them back at school.

Does nobody in government ever sit down and work out the possible stumbling blocks, obstacles, challenges - whatever you want to call them ...

Nobody in this government seems to think things through or forward plan - imagine where difficulties might lie or plan ahead.

In no place of work have I felt such abominable leadership. A group of children could guide us through this better.
