Does DH need to isolate - what would you do?

Colleague of DHs has tested positive. Sits above 2m away from him in the office. As per guidelines, DH hasn't been within 2m of him for more than 15 minutes or within 1m for 1 minute so not classed as a close contact yet colleague advises he has given DHs details to track and trace.

All staff told to work from home and isolate expecting a call from track and trace. 3 days later, no call or text.

As he hasn't met the criteria for isolation, WWYD? Continue to isolate? Keen not to isolate if not required due to childcare issues but of course will if required.

How long does it usually take for track and trace to make contact?

Technically. I don't think he has to unless specifically instructed to do so by track and trace. However, if you can possibly make it work, I would isolate anyway, just in case.

I'd make my own rules and work from home for a week. If no symptoms after that, go back to work. Go outside, but don't go into a shop or indoor space unless absolutely necessary.

Unless track and trace call in which case they will give you instructions.
