They managed it really well and it's all gone to pot since private companies took over.

Um no because the issue is the labs not the testing centres. I suspect the armed forces aren’t actually qualified to do the lab work.

@Frazzled2207 hit the nail on the head. The problem is not enough lab capacity to process all the tests.

Exactly, I imagine scaling the test sites up can be done pretty easily. Won't make any difference if there's no-one to process them.

I just think the system is broken. OH at three sites and mistakes made (no QR code sent, sent to one site when it should of been another) Got test results back very quickly probaly because no bugger could get an appointment. All three centres were empty

They need a better system, maybe walk up and processing at the centre. The current online system is not working
