So I started getting a sore throat (witch I always get first with any cold) now my nose is blocked and started to get a little cough after a few days do I need to get tested and isolate? I do believe it's just the Normal cold and the change off weather that's cause as I do normally get it around now

It's likely just a cold. It's going around. I don't get why everyone's saying it could be fussed by the change of the weather? It's still very mild where I live and we are dressing for summer still..

But yeah probably just a cold tbh. Both my children have had similar this week. Fingers crossed I don't get it!!

New cough = isolate and test.

The NHS website state what kind of cough, it isn’t just a new cough.

If you have any of the three main symptoms, I hope by "crack on" you mean 'isolate and test'

Occasional cough here following snotty colds - tried to get test and couldn’t but really now think that testing puts us in the “taking the piss” category because it’s clearly a minor cough at the end of a snotty cold doesn’t sound like a Covid symptom at all....

I have a bad cough but it's productive and the result of a cold so I'm not testing.

Give it day and see what happens.

My dd had an occasional cough after a few days of a snotty cold and sore throat.

She tested positive for covid.

I have all of these symptoms. I did the 111 and it said I didn't need a test. Sore throat. Snotty nose. Cough a little bit not constant.

And yet my dd has the same symptoms and has covid!

No wonder cases are spiralling out of control if even people with coughs aren't testing and isolating.
