Feeling breathless when/after eating a mask

I have a cold - congested nose, no cough or temp.

I'm when I wear my mask I now feel a bit breathless, and for a little while after I take it off?? Is this normal? I'm eeee ring quite thick fabric ones and wonder if I should change to a disposable one I tip my cold clears up.....

I've just had a cold and it is certainly harder. I have no issues with masks normally, but with a cold is was a lot trickier - I think it was the warm damp air being trapped. A stack of disposable ones might be better.

Fortunately I didn't have to wear masks for long periods of time with my colds, and in the classroom I wore a visor (as we can't wear masks teaching) instead which was fine. I just avoided going anywhere outside of work that would warrant a mask, and chose to spend lunch/breaks in a room in my own when at work.
