How long did it take you to get your results?

I sent mine off Saturday, but still waiting for the results. I’m Surrey based so not sure if that affects it Confused

I keep reading posts about people who have got their results quicker than me, but they all seem to have gone to the drop-in / drive through test centres. Slightly worried as I think my dog / children / me might go bonkers soon!!

I’m reading that home test kits are taking on average 5 days from the point of posting to return a result

KeysDontBelongInTheFridge · 15/09/2020 23:06

Thanks @Fast90! If it comes back ‘unclear’ I might implode!

Do home testing kits last. If I received one and didn't need it after all could it be kept.

Asking for a friend of course.

Popsicales · 15/09/2020 23:13

I posted mine on Saturday, it arrived on Sunday. I’m still waiting Sad I’m in the North West and my test was posted to Glasgow.

Josiejumpismyname · 15/09/2020 23:18

4 days it took for results here in Essex! Sent in last Thursday afternoon and received results Monday afternoon this week 😐

KeysDontBelongInTheFridge · 15/09/2020 23:25

@girlcrushonvillanelle I presume they’ll last; the schools have all been given 11 Covid testing kits incase they need them, so I imagine they are the same ones we receive in the post? Also, there’s nothing perishable in them so I think your friends Wink fine to keep it for future use.

@Josiejumpismyname Glad you got your results! 4 days doesn’t seem like a long time, but when you’re confined to your house time is not your friend!

Essex based, sent it off on Friday and haven't heard yet.

queenjaneappro · 16/09/2020 00:00

Posted sat morning, arrived Glasgow Sunday morning according to Royal Mail tracking. Still waiting....

Got two 7 year olds off school who just want to fight all day, I'm trying to work from home...

Total shambles.

Lockdownmum1010 · 16/09/2020 00:03

Posted my daughter's yesterday, had the results back this evening. Was actually quite impressed with the service given all the bad press at the moment.

user34254356 · 16/09/2020 00:37

queenjaneappro · 16/09/2020 09:50

felineflutter · 16/09/2020 09:52

4 days but over a weekend.

felineflutter · 16/09/2020 09:54

So posted Friday last post and got results Tuesday about 2pm. Midlands.

WreckTangled · 16/09/2020 09:56

Did everyone get an email confirmation when they registered it on the gov website? I've just realised I didn't get one and have already sent the test off. I'm so cross dd didn't even need one but the school have insisted and now both dc are having to miss school and if the test didn't register online properly then it will be two weeks!

AvoidingRealHumans · 16/09/2020 10:26

@wrecktangled I didn't, I did screenshot it though. You will be able to chase it using the code on the booklet... thats IF you can get through to 119. This whole thing is a joke

snappyoldfart · 16/09/2020 10:27

Out of interest for the ones who got results were they positive?

WreckTangled · 16/09/2020 10:32

Thanks avoiding I wonder which bin I put the booklet in...

I'm so annoyed, the school took dd's temp with a forehead strip and that's how this all started, it was 37.2 with my thermometer when we got home but they're not having any of it.

queenjaneappro · 16/09/2020 10:49

@snappyoldfart negative here.

WreckTangled · 16/09/2020 10:50

I've found the bar code but it doesn't mean anything as 119 aren't taking calls to track tests. I don't even remember what the screen looked like when I registered it I'm so worried it didn't go through I could cry

Gazelda · 16/09/2020 10:51

Posted Friday afternoon

wendz86 · 16/09/2020 11:43
