Large Scale Events

France is looking bad in some areas currently. France have limited large events to 1000 people at 1m distance. So not really limited, and not really social distancing.

Spain and Italy, whose numbers are also rising, opened nightclubs and discos quite early on and have now closed these.

However in Belgium and the UK where numbers (deaths and hospitalizations at least) remain low, these large scale events and nightclubs have not been reinstated yet.

I really really hope the government keep nightclubs close as students return to university, and even more so I hope large scale events are cancelled or are severely limited with strict social distancing. It seems logical that these events are more like to be "super spreading" than 7 people meeting up.

I get your point but it's big social events that make life fun!

It seems odd they were allowing gatherings of over 1000 in the first place.

As I said on another thread "nightclubs" in Italy are closed again (have been for over a month) but large nightlife venues are not. So hundreds and sometimes up to a 1000 people are still gathering. All open air given Italy is still tail end of summer.
