Test Booking

After trying all day - quite literally, from 7:30am - 8:15pm - a slot became available for a test tomorrow at a test centre. However, there's been no confirmation, either by email or text - should there be one?

Will the test still be done if nothing comes through overnight? It required a car registration, so I would think that's logged too, but when the submit/confirm button was pressed it just went straight back to the beginning page.

Starting to panic it now won't be done tomorrow!

I'm afraid if you've not had the confirmation text and email, I don't think you have a booking.

I was trying yesterday and several times got through to booking a particular test centre and time, having added all details inc car reg but when I clicked the final confirmation, the system kicked me out to the beginning again, presumably because someone else had got there faster.

When I eventually got a booking, it was very clear it had been successful - confirmation page, immediate text and email, all including the QR code I needed to show through the car window before I was allowed access to the test site.

I had this, turned up at the test centre but was turned away - I think what happened is someone else confirmed their booking in the slot before I did, so the slot I was trying to book wasnt available anymore. The system is badly designed though, as it doesn't tell you that you haven't got it, just kicks you out.

@TakesTwoToTango

Oh no! It's now showing no sites anywhere, no home tests - how are we supposed to get this child tested?! Their siblings are also off school/nursery as a result - we have to keep them at home for 14 days if we can't get a test??

Only thing we can do is keep trying I guess...it's the knock on for what is highly, highly, highly likely to be a cold...how was this not planned for? The government didn't realise that there would be an increase in temperatures and coughs in school aged children when the schools reopened?!?

Thanks @cheesepretzel - it's so annoying! I'll keep trying...
