Wrong details when booking test

PutOnAHappyFace · 14/09/2020 11:36

So in my sleep deprived state and after entering details a million times, I've put the wrong year of birth in when I registered for my test.

Has anyone else been this stupid? How did you fix it/did you get results still without fixing?

I think you will be ok and still get your results , we had to take our driving iicence for ID but I’m sure it’s only for a name check.

SeekingCoffee33 · 14/09/2020 14:58

No one asked for my ID when I went

Yellowmellow2 · 14/09/2020 15:04

I would imagine your phone number is the only crucial bit. I’m still waiting for a result from Saturday and worrying whether I put in the right details.

PutOnAHappyFace · 14/09/2020 16:07

Hopefully it will still be ok, I can't believe I was so stupid. Surely it's just a case of phone number attached to the barcode? Suppose we will find out, appointment is at 7.30 tonight.

Thanks everyone.

I did the same thing! Feeling rather unwell , I put my correct date and month but then 2020 so it appeared that a 6 month baby had driven herself to the test centre...
No one noticed and 36 hours later I received my thankfully negative result !

PutOnAHappyFace · 15/09/2020 04:54

@Sahara123 I don't know if we should be bothered that they don't notice the wrong details haha. Test all done, no ID check, just the waiting game now for results.

Fingers crossed all is ok for you HappyFace.
I was a bit concerned that had it been positive it would have been recorded as a baby and the Daily Mail would’ve been on to me !

PutOnAHappyFace · 15/09/2020 22:28

Incase anyone comes across this thread after doing the same thing. Results back after 31hours, didn't seem to matter that I put the wrong details.

This is the only thread I've read whete someone has actually managed to book a test!

PutOnAHappyFace · 15/09/2020 22:31

It took 4 days to get it, lots of refreshing and a 2 hour round trip.

3 tests so far and haven’t been asked for ID at any.

Yellowmellow2 · 16/09/2020 21:00

@MayFayre

3 tests so far and haven’t been asked for ID at any.
3 tests!? Is that for you or family members?
Jrobhatch29 · 16/09/2020 21:04

I stupidly booked my sons test under my name but his date of birth. The guy at the test centre (after already having a dig at me for bringing "another kid with a slight sniffle" - he did have a temp btw), had a go at me and told me it was pointless being tested because the school wouldn't accept the results. I told him I was doing it anyway.

MayFayre · 16/09/2020 21:27

yellowmellow2 2 for me, sent by the Zoe app in the summer, one for dc1 this week.

Yellowmellow2 · 17/09/2020 18:23

What’s the Zoe app?

MayFayre · 17/09/2020 21:13

covid.joinzoe.com/

Covid symptom tracker app.

They’ve messaged me again this evening asking me to get a test because I have a sore throat.
