Sleepover - would you?

DD was invited to a classmate's birthday sleepover with 2 others (so 4 in total) a few weeks ago. Sleepover is coming Saturday 19th. I originally thought nothing of it and was happy for her to go as they would all be in school class together. They were going to be sleeping in a tent in the garden.

We're in Wales in an area that has had the lowest number of cases. Since the new rules were announced on Friday and as numbers locally have begun to increase I've had 2nd thoughts. I was planning on asking the child's mum if DD could come for the day bit but I'd come and collect her at 9pm ish so no sleeping over. I know children under 12 are not counted within the 6 allowed but I think they still need to be from 2 extended families. This would be 4.

Am I doing the right thing? Am I being over-cautious? Should I be knocking the whole party on the head and not allowing her to go at all?

I would do whatever you feel comfortable and happy with.

Camping in the garden always sounds so fun until it’s gets cold and dark Then they usually want to go inside anyway so she may be happy to miss that but anyway!

If it’s against the law, definitely not. I’d likely say no anyway unless I knew there would be strict SD in place, no sharing of food etc.

No, not now. We're facing a tough winter and I think as much as I can I'm going to rein it in.
