Has anyone been able to get a test recently?

Ds has a very high temp and a cough - we have tried to get him tested but nowhere is available - even if we were to drive 200 miles - what is going on? Has testing gone into lockdown?

I’ve just seen some in Aberdeen and Swansea.
Absolutely no use to me as 5 hours away. I just kept playing around with postcodes. We live in the southeast whe there is nothing.

I was advised to check every hour and that helped, they added locally at 9 pm. If you don't check it regularly they are gone.

I just sat and kept toggling back and forward for an hour or so this morning where it said find a test centre. Eventually got offered two centres about 50 miles from me. Then, three test centres about 20 miles from me. Tried to book one of those but it threw me out back to the start. Then it offered me my local test centre... tried to book. Threw me back to the start again. Then I got my local test centre again and managed to book in for today! Persistence might be the key or maybe I was just lucky but it said there were lots of slots available when I finally got through.

Also noticed home tests at 8 am but by the time I filled in details, they were gone.

I tried every few minutes for around four hours the other day and eventually got one. Had my work laptop open for work and my personal laptop open for booking the test.

We kept refreshing every few minutes for about 3 hours earlier today and eventually got offered tests at a few relatively local centres. I think you've got to just keep trying, frustrating as it is.

You just have to fill in all you details and then keep refreshing the page or clicking between walk in and drive in. I got one Friday and got the result just now. Son's postal test we ordered on Tuesday morning we still haven't got the results for yet so if you want a quicker result keep looking for a test centre.
