Confirmation email for test?

Do you get a confirmation email or text when you've booked a test? I got to the point which said to confirm our details, and it gave name of test site and time. But after that the next screen was just a generic book a test screen and no email or text so far. We'll probably go just incase but did others get any confirmation?

I had the exact same thing happen to us this a.m.
It's so annoying I don't want an hour round trip with a toddler for nothing.

You need the confirmation for the QR code. I had the same issue and assumed the booking had failed.

I did not receive an email, but should have.

No record of my booking when I rocked up at the testing site, however they the test went ahead, I got a code number to log the test on the gov.uk website afterwards and received the result in less than 24 hrs.

This was about 3 weeks ago though, so who knows what things are like now?

Yeah it's a bit worrying ilovechocolate. We're in the same situation with an autistic child who hates sitting in the car - will be 2 hours roundtrip, all being well Confused

I had the same so went through the booking again and got an email and text confirmation the second time.

That also happened to me and I think it meant that that particular time slot was no longer available as there wasn’t the same option when I refreshed to try again.

The booking has failed. You need to rebook. The car in front were clearly there because they thought they had booked (kept holding up their phone) but they weren't allowed in.

I had the same thing happen to me when booking. I managed to rebook straight away and then received both a text and email.

No tests available here now. So much for doing the right thing.

We went through it six times before we actually got a confirmation email (this morning). You have to be super fast once you've selected a centre - there's no virtual queue so several people can be in a race for the same slot if that makes sense.

Looking forward to a 3 hour round trip this evening, all because DD has developed a temperature with her cold...

Can confirm that no confirmation means no booking has been made. This system is ridiculous and it is only September.

I’ve read various things, but I think 8 a.m 10a.m 6p.m and 8 p.m are the times to check. That’s what I am going to try, good luck hope you get a slot soon.
