County/borough borders for local lockdown

I'm trying to find information but struggling to get any clarity.

The London borough that DS1 goes to school in is getting close to local lockdown measures. We live one road over from the borough border so live in another borough.

If schools stay open (which I think is happening in other local lockdowns) would he need to stay home?

No, schools keep going no matter what (that's the plan anyway), so his travel to school would be an allowed journey.

Thank you, much appreciated!
