Has anyone seen any reports about what the rules are now going to be on attendance at school if the child is p99rly and has to be taken off.
Something I've always worried about is the childrens attendance. And now it's just going to be awful my son started reception thjs week he went in Tuesday and Wednesday and that's all his allowed as his now sick. Already panicking about it!

I actually don’t care what their policy is. If my children are poorly then I will keep them off.

If your son has only just started reception then you are fine. He isn’t legally obliged to attend until the term after he turns 5. They can’t do anything about his attendance. They will probably be happy at the moment that you kept him off if he is poorly too.

Please try not to worry about the attendance policy and just take care of yourself and your family Flowers

Why does it worry you? If your child is sick they should be off school. Don’t worry about the numbers! Often children are ill frequently when starting school.
