Sore throat

If sore throat is a symptom, how long does it last, would you expect it to have developed into other symptoms after 2 weeks if it was Covid?
Would you get tested / see a GP if you still had a sore throat after 2 weeks?

No other symptoms at all, nada.

It's not one of the key symptoms. You aren't supposed to decide which symptoms matter. You're supposed to get a test for the fever, cough or anosmia and treat other symptoms as not relevant.

So no, I would not seek a test. Hancock was on the radio moaning about too many worried well getting tests.

Ok fair enough.
Would you see the GP though?

My friend in Sweden, who had confirmed Covid back in April, had a sore throat for 5 weeks. Only other symptom was fatigue. Her parter was the same but didn't last quite as long. Their one month old had a 40 degree fever which is what warranted an A and E trip which then led to them being tested for Covid.

Unfortunately a sore throat is not on the UK list of symptoms so not sure how testing might work.
