Has anyone had test results back quickly recently?

So, DS has a cold that includes a temp and cough. We were lucky enough to be able to book a test yesterday (quick tip - if you say you dont have a car you may be offered a walk in test closer to where you live).

He is feeling much better today and his brother is absolutely fine but obviously unable to go to school until we get a negative result.

The thought of the test result taking 5 days is stressing me out - I have so much work to do and DH is a teacher so its so difficult for him to be missing work when he also feels fine. Are we right in thinking none of us can return to school/work until DS gets a negative result?

Anyone had test results back the next day recently?!

We’re in isolation waiting on results now. Test done Monday afternoon, no results yet

Drive through Sunday lunch time as ds had a cough. Still no result.

I'm a teacher and this was supposed to be my first week back, dd has missed her first days back at school.

Trying to get through to 119 to chase it up is difficult, it kept saying high call volumes and disconnects the call.

Utterly fed up

We are tested weekly at work. Our results have been coming back within two days at most.
Since last week they have been taking up to four days!
