School friends

It’s my sons birthday this weekend and we obviously can’t throw him a party but I was considering seeing if he could have one of his friends round.
There’s 3 that he’s really eager to have round but I’ve told him I don’t think that’s possible even though they’re in the same bubble.
Should he even be having 1 friend round?

We’ve no known cases at our school and they would be in a different room to the rest of us the majority of the time, I thought I could possibly order them a personal pizza to themselves so there’s no cross contamination with food etc.
I’d really appreciate opinions, I have been shielding up until they went back to school and only ventured out 3 times since March except the school run so I’m trying to be very cautious, without spoiling all his birthday fun.

(I’m speaking assuming you’re in England And not in local lockdown, different parts of the UK would be different)If you’re wanting to stick to the guidelines then one inside is fine, or two friends from different households outside. In theory maintaining social distancing inside, but how realistic or necessary that is given they’re in the same bubble I don’t know.
I think most (not me personally) would now be find with three from the same bubble inside though.

You can’t mix that many households indoors whilst following the guidelines so maybe look at the forecast and have an outdoor picnic with the pizza instead.
