5 days waiting for sodding test results for me and DC. It’s an absolute fucking farce and I am tired of being trapped in a bloody flat when DC have no symptoms and I’ve only got a wet chesty cough. Seriously had enough of this shit, I need food shopping and to get out this blood flat

5 days? That's ridiculous. No 2onder you're so fed up, I'd be climbing the walls. Hope your results come through today and that they're negative Flowers

Thanks @DirtyTicket, we all had symptoms of the cold, but because it included a cough (despite none of our coughs having been dry etc - all wet and chesty, no temp or change to taste/smell), we were told to isolate and the kids aren’t allowed back in school until they’ve negative results. I could have done that, but it took 2 days for the home test kit to arrive and it’s now 5 days after that so we’ve been stuck at home for a week now, and the kids colds have pretty much disappeared too, just me left with a cough!

I honestly get the need to isolate, I’m just so friggen fed up with it. I assumed we’d get tested and things would be back to normal within a few days as long as they were negative, now I have no clue how much longer we’re stuck in this flat and I’m feeling extremely claustrophobic. The NHS website says 72hrs for a home test turn around, I can’t even get through to the test number to find out what’s going on, just get a “we’re extremely busy right now, please call back later” message before it hangs up.

Not surprised you are fed up, that is truly shit. Sad As a short term measure, is there no one who can do a bit of shopping for you (my neighbours were super-helpful when we were isolating ). If there isnt, and you need food, you'll just have to go get it.
