Private Coronavirus testing companies

With people struggling to book postal or drive through testing, thought we could list anyone who’s bought a test through a private company, how much it cost and turnaround etc. Whether it was self swab or antibody etc, whether adults only or kids.
I know ideally we should all be able to access free NHS tests, but for those of us that can’t get tests and are willing and able to pay it helps out in the big scheme as well.

I think there is a great amount of misunderstanding about the difference between testing for current infection (antigen testing) and past infection/immune response (antibody testing).

There might be in the general population, but most of us know the difference. I know companies and the film industry do private antigen swabs every 2 days, the same with footballers etc.
I was just asking for companies that sell tests singularly to general public, I know these are under £100 for personal use and testing when we have our reasons to be tested but can’t access tests if symptomatic.

There have been lots of threads on testing but you have to do a lot of sifting to find companies that do it.

Good idea. It would be useful to have a list. NHS tests are impossible to get at the moment.

We used Summerfield for Covid tests (not the antibody test). Cost around £120 each I think.

They arrived by post within a couple of days, had clear instructions how to use and we received the results the day after we posted the tests back (normal Royal Mail 1st class post in envelope provided).

They also do Pre flight testing (Which some countries are requiring).

Interestingly France we’re offering free tests at some airports to all arriving passengers.

I just used a company called My Binx Health. Think it was £100 for the test, I did shop around a few to try and find the cheapest but couldn't find any under £100. Where did you see tests under £100?

AutumnSuns · 14/09/2020 11:42

I’ve not used their swab tests, but have used them for other blood tests. £139 for a swab test, but says if currently symptomatic get a free NHS one..........
