Hi

So my DS has just come back from his dads this weekend. His dad mentioned nothing (his commutation is poor normally). My DS has started coughing and has a cold which is new.

It’s his first day at school tomorrow. Really gutted that he will miss his first week after telling him that we will be going to bed early to get back to a school routine.

Any other parents? Sad

Get a test ASAP

Sorry I should of said I’m not worried that it is Covid ( I obviously will keep him at home just in case). I think it’s more the fact his dad sent him home in a summary thin T-shirt!

Because he had no symptoms on Saturday morning. When his dad collected him.

That’s rotten. Flowers

If you can get a drive through test you’ll get results very quickly (in theory!) and he’ll be in in a couple of days.

MaryBerrysBomberJacket · 06/09/2020 19:30

Just get a test and then he can return without having to isolate for 14 days. No one wants to miss the first 14 days of school!

A t-shirt would have been perfectly appropriate clothing in this area for most of today so I very much doubt that him wearing a t-shirt will have caused a cough and cold like symptoms. Much likely to be one of the many seasonal colds that seem to be going around at the minute.

Thanks. I ordered a test last night.

Same here OP although the kids were back 2 days last week.

Guess this is the way it will be over winter. Youngest DS crying as can’t go back to school ( he doesn’t have the cold), eldest has anxiety so I’m worried about getting him back to school after this ( he’s the one with the cold and cough). Not looking forward to testing DS either ( and then thinking the youngest will probably catch it and we will have the hole thing again in a couple of days). Sad . Single parent as well so have to hope my work will be sympathetic.

@BighouseLittlemouse it’s really rubbish. I hope you get a negative result.
