This is a bit of a pointless rant but Covid-19 is currently having the last laugh here. My FIL died today. He lived in Australia. MIL is on her own there (family widespread). DH can't go to be with her without spending 14 days in quarantine (for which he'll be charged about £1,700 by the Queensland government) on arrival and then 14 further days of the same when coming back here. He can't really not work for a month and pay for the 'privilege'. Oh, and Vodafone has just randomly blocked his phone too so he can't speak to her right now either. Bloody coronavirus
