Corona symptom or cold?

I woke up at 4am with a dry coughing fit, have been coughing since and have a sore throat. I am warm to touch but not hot and have no problems with taste or smell. I'm also getting sharp head pains when I cough so wondered if it was just a head cold. I have work in 2 hours and unsure what to do as I work in retail serving customers.

I would test with the cough symptom.

Dry cough is one of the symptoms which you should test for, especially as it sounds pretty continuous.

You can't go to work with a cough. It is literally one of the top symptoms.

I would isolate and get a test, better to be safe than sorry!

Cough and temperature are two of the main symptoms

Of course you need a test.

Especially as numbers are rising in so many places at the moment - we really need to be diligent if we don't want that happening here

Sounds like all the symptoms of covid especially the head pain sorry. Isolate, get a test, tell work you’re suspecting it and any friends/family you’ve come into contact with in the last 5 days.
