Visiting relative needing test - no ID?

I have a coughing visiting relative who needs to get a test. Her house is 5 hours away from ours. She has no ID with her. Just bank cards.

Can she really not get a test today? We are in a hotspot area (out of lockdown) so we easily booked one nearby thinking it’d be fine but now everything suggests she won’t be able to have one.. 🤦🏼‍♀️ What do people do who don’t have photo ID? My aunt for example has never driven & never been abroad?!

I think she can still get a test if she takes the barcode thingy that one is issued with when booking a test. My DP went for a test (he has photo ID) but said they didn't ask for it anyway.

Yes think you just need the email/barcode thing they send. Just explain the situation when there if needed!

We've taken DS for two drivethrough tests now and didn't need ID either time, just the QR code from the booking

I wasn’t asked for ID when I was tested.

Phew, thank you so much! They let her in! 🙌🏼 Fingers crossed for quick results so we don’t have to stay indoors all weekend..
