Throat infection?

DD (2.8) Molar teething developed yesterday into a cold/high temp.

Drive through COVID test booked for DD this morning.

Obviously we will as a household be self isolating until results.

My worry is she is so hoarse and croaky. She always gets a croup type cough when she has a cold, usually only at night. She says her neck hurts.

My worry is she has a throat infection and I can’t take her to gp as I normally would. She’s never had a throat infection/antibiotics before so I don’t have anything to compare it too.

Any advice appreciated

Call a pharmacy perhaps for advice? Or else surely you can see/ speak to the GP?

You can still call the GP for advice, they are working at the moment
, mine are prescribing medicine after phone consultation in some cases.

Once you have a negative result you would be able to see the GP if necessary anyway and they can assess and prescribe anything.
