Has anyone done a test this week?

Has anyone done a test at a drive-in/walk-in testing centre this week? How long did the results take to come through?

Drive through test on Monday at 11am at the results came through by email at 1am on Thursday morning (text message at 6am), rung 119 three times to chase the results after 48 hours.

Drive through test on Monday at 9am. Results by email on Tuesday at 1am and by text at 6am. I’m in SW.

Friend had her family tested at a testing centre a few days ago. Done lunchtime and results back the following morning.

25 hours between test (Tues) & results (Wed).

Drive through test on Monday - results came 21 hours later

Ok, so generally not too long a turnaround... fingers crossed ours come back within 24 hours too! @beakyboo10 how annoying yours took so long.

Drive through test results tend to be 24-48 hours. Home tests 72 hours. I am tested every 2 weeks. Drive through ones 1st but now home tests as drive through locations not always near me. Where I work requires testing every 2weeks but we have to organise it ourselves as they are struggling to get tests for all staff.

I had a test yesterday at 10am at a drive through in the South West, got the email through at 3am this morning - negative, phew! (Though my daughter is less impressed that she is going to school this morning)

I had a test yesterday morning. The cough has got worse since. No results yet. I hope they come today

Me and DC tested at drive thru on Monday afternoon. DC result came through Tues evening. No sign of mine. Chased with 119 who eventually told me to go back and get another test, which I did yesterday afternoon. Waiting for that result now.

Colleague did on Wednesday morning (not sure what time) - had results just after 9 on Thursday

Just got my result back - exactly 24 hours after the test!

Have people generally been able to get drive-through tests reasonably close to home (only seem to be hearing about the people who've been told to drive miles!)?

@UntamedWisteria - I was initially told the nearest available tests were quite far away, but the website said to try again in a few hours as more slots get released throughout the day - I tried an hour later and got one in my town for later that day. My test centre also seemed to be accepting people just turning up...

Same as @shesingshangrila but instead of waiting for an hour I kept going back a step and reloading the page until it eventually showed availability at the nearest centre. When I got there they were also accepting people without appointments and said they wouldn't turn anyone away.

I still haven't had my results. Did you get them by text or email @Laanet?
