Test result delays

Has anyone experienced delays in getting their results or perhaps didn't receive their results at all?

Whole household was tested first thing Monday morning as was showing symptoms (loss of taste & smell) and cough/sore throat in children.

Twice 119 have now sent a chasing email and today advised me to get retested in the hope that the new test would be processed quicker.

We are both keyworkers and desperate to get back to work.

Yes same experience here and also tested Monday. Are you in London?

119 are surely wrong to advise that (doesn't entirely surprise me) as presumably you had symptoms on Sun at the latest so it's now over 5 days and a test wouldn't be at all reliable?

Here in Scotland the news said the turnaround has gone from.about 10 hrs to 5 days due to volume

Yep, tested Monday pm. Retested yesterday pm on the advice of 119 after no result appeared. Result (i assume the second one) came through just now.

@YouAndMeAndTheDevilMakesThree Had results from retest which was thankfully negative, it'll be interesting to see if the original results ever come through or are lost.

@WokeEwok have you had any luck yet, we are in Hampshire and have given up on the results from Monday arriving.

Yes tested last Saturday. DH got results back midday Tuesday (72 hrs after completing test, 6 days from requesting a home test kit).

My results never came back!

We did a test on our child. Test was posted early Wednesday morning (this was a couple of weeks ago) and the result came through on the Sunday evening.

Interesting experiences. I did mine and D.C. and got the results in 16 hours. DH did his a different day and got his results 36 hours later.

OH and I got tested Monday morning. I got my results (negative) on Tuesday lunchtime. My OH has still not received his. We're assuming it's lost now

I posted mine on Tuesday and haven't heard as yet have called 119 who have sent a chasing email but at this rate I will have done 10 days in quaratine without any clue as to whether I needed to or not.

It took 5 days for my daughters postal test result to come back. Felt like forever!
