dd contacted by the company she worked for last week saying one of the team has tested positive.
so she needs a test
but do i?
i didnt put my name when booking hers so am not sure if i even can book it

No, you don't need a test unless you have symptoms. And tbh, unless test and trace told your dd to get tested, she doesn't need one either - she should be just isolating for 14 days unless she has symptoms. (I know that there have been occasions where test and trace have told contacts to get tested, so appreciate that might be the case here).
