DS is in Zante - testing?

He's due back Saturday.

We are in England, so quarantine is not required - yet. Of course that may change.

But want to keep us all safe so will be getting him tested and making him self isolate until we know he's not infectious.

What's the protocol on when you should be tested - day of return and then 5 days later? Anyone got any sensible advice?

Testing when you dont need to and therefore assuming a negative before he gets symptoms will put you more at risk

He should, if required (by having travelled to a named country or being a close contact of a positive case) self isolate for 14 days, if he develops symptoms then order a test and the whole household self isolates.
Then regardless he should be social distancing, hand washing and wearing a mask
