Apologies if there's already a thread on this, I did look but couldn't see one.

Has anyone done a test via the post recently? How long did the results take once it had been sent back? Thanks.

Not mega recently but beginning of August I think a friend did and was 36h from pick up to result. I got a drive through a couple of weeks ago and was about 21h.

GoldenOmber · 01/09/2020 09:38

Just under 48h from postbox collection to results.

Not very recently (beginning of July), was collected on a Sunday and had result by the Monday. So very quick.

Dd1 had hers more recently and they lost her sample 🙄

Thank you. I'm hoping for a small miracle and that the kids can go to school as planned on Thursday but since the tests are only being picked up today it might he cutting it a bit fine.

yes, we all did ours at the same time a couple of weeks ago. DD came back in 24 hours but mine and DH took 4 days

I did one a couple of weeks ago as requested by Zoe app. I had a headache on Wednesday, they asked me to do a test on Thursday, it arrived on Saturday but had missed the post. Did test Monday and into post Monday afternoon, results arrived 6am Friday. Obviously I didn’t test because I was symptomatic it was for research purposes so I didn’t need to isolate but if I had I would have finished self isolating that day anyway.

The kids are pretty happy that they can't go back to school yet, apparently almost 6 months off wasn't enough.

Really hoping that we get the results soon though. I'm thinking we'd all have to do the 14 days even though technically DS would be ok after 10 but I don't think 6 year olds are meant to go out by themselves.

Or have I misunderstood and we'd all be allowed out after 10?

I mean if for some reason the results don't show up.

No, everyone would need to do the 14 days (6 yr old 10 days but obviously he is 6 so he would be joining you for the 14).
nex18 · 03/09/2020 09:31

10 days for who had symptoms, 14 for other household members.

BeFire · 03/09/2020 10:54

I might send him shopping for us Grin .

14 days for all of us is what I thought. Fingers crossed it doesn't come to that and the results are with us soon and are negative.
