I’m not sure if this has been mentioned in gov guidance but here goes:
Consider this scenario : virus outbreak at work, now the whole team has to self isolate, including their families I assume? What about if child goes to school. Does his class have to self isolate too?
Similar scenario with an outbreak in year 5 who also has a sibling in year 3 , does year 3 isolate too?
How far do the self isolation measures in an outbreak go back when tracing any links in the chain?

Scenario 1 outbreak at work: you as a worker would isolate, not whole family unless you develop symptoms.

Scenario 2 outbreak in class 5 : All children isolate on guidance from Public Health. Siblings of the year 5 child, let’s call him Tom, don’t have to isolate. Tom develops symptoms so now the siblings and whole household would have to isolate but not the siblings bubbles unless the siblings go on to have symptoms/test positive.
