Ugh energy levels are crap. Digestive system is all over the place. Moods are up and down. Unmotivated. Out of routine. Partner's irritating me after five months of working from home. I'm pretty sure I'm irritating him too.

Next week school restarts and I have got to somehow have my life in order and get to the other side of town twice each day on foot 1.5 miles to take my child to school with a toddler who still has no road sense and gates his pushchair.

Considering I have no energy I am dreading it. I feel I'll get half way there and need a lie down lol

Plus I'm a little on edge after all this time at home.

Please join me 😔

Yes feeling the same and mine are starting secondary so not even got to pick up- just getting all the stuff organised and the constant media stuff around masks and changes is stressful. thankfully they just have two days next week (and a day just for the new starts) which might make things a bit easier. It is very expensive too for the uniforms etc so that is not easy right now either. Spent over £400 so far for the two (state school)

Totally feeling Bob here too, OP.

Battery operated boyfriend? Yes. He’s been my only solace on some days.

That scary shape shifter in Twin Peaks?

I have a bike with a toddler seat on the back. Works great for me and my toddler plus I have 2 other kids who ride bikes.

Bob means shit. It's a midlands thing.

Smells like Bob.
Having a Bob.

Etc

Yes me too. Feeling completely fed up. Have you tried a buggy board? That was my saviour on the school run last year with my toddler. That and a back pack with reigns too. Always allowed an extra 10 mins or so too.

RealityExistsInTheHumanMind · 27/08/2020 22:08

Once you start doing that walk twice a day I can almost guarantee that your mental health will improve no end.

Hopefully enough for you to sort out another way of getting your child to or back from school although doing it once per day yourself will continue to help your wellbeing.

SuckingDownDarjeeling · 27/08/2020 22:13

@LaurieFairyCake mine are still young enough for a pushchair so I'm taking full advantage, I'm not excited about trying to wrangle two toddlers on a walk to anywhere! 😂

I went to the supermarket today and suddenly started to feel Bob.

I'm not allowed back to that shop any more.
