Walk in testing centre experience

Having developed a sudden continuous cough I booked online for a drive through test... there were none less 87 miles from me apparently but a walkthrough centre 3 miles away.

Sat nav sent me half a mile down the road, but I eventually found it...

In a large white tent, staff in full PPE, massive mobile air conditioning units that look like fumigators.. I walked around the miles of metal railings and got to inside... it was like something from a zombie apocalypse! I have never been anywhere that had such a feeling of dread inside!

I had my phone scanned and was taken to a booth, no privacy curtain.. instructions pinned to the wall..,a mirror so I could see down my throat..apologies to anyonewhosawmyhidiousgagface.

Having read the instructions 3 times I proceeded with caution... managed to get the back of my throat (much gagging!) then I had to put THE SAME end up my nose and swab there! It wasn't pleasant but was fine! --

The whole thing took around 10 minutes and I should receive my results back in 24-48 hours!

It felt very bleak in the centre, so fingers crossed I don't have to do that again!
