Attendance figures and isolating

I am to email the school but does anyone know in the meantime..
When a child is off due to a cough or temp will the figures go against attendance like usual or is there some covid code to be put against this?
We are not testing ds so I imagine he will be off a lot during the winter for 2 weeks at a time. We are not testing due to his asd before anyone asks.
Thanks

We used a different code for isolating students before lockdown (same one as used for weather related issues), I can't see any reason they'd change this. Not sure what would happen if longer absence is due to not testing though.

Schools will be using code X on registers for all isolation periods in relation to Covid

This won't be included in absence figures

However if you are just choosing not to send them in 'just on case' then it will be recorded as unauthorised absence

-I'm not saying that's what you are talking about doing btw, just mentioned it in case someone thought it was a cover all

Not at all. Just the fact that ds seems to pick everything up and I won’t be testing him so I can see lots of 2 weeks off coming up. Thanks all
