Test experience -fast results?

I went for a coronavirus test yesterday and was just wondering if anyone had any experience of how quick the results come back?

I naively thought it'd be like 24 hours on the dot and I'm a big worrier. I have no symptoms but I've been in contact with someone who has been in moderate contact with someone who has tested positive.

My DD had one a couple of months ago and we got the results in about 27 hours.
DH had one yesterday and it was about 28 hours.
Both negative but I assume that doesn't make a difference.

Mine came back in about 18hrs a few weeks ago. Heard of other people who had their’s back recently in about 12hrs. Where we live has a relatively low incidence though and a ton of testing capacity.

Mine came back 72 hours after testing. Seems to be the longest I've heard of though!

I got tested in Glasgow and got my results 14hrs later

Testing is to a certain extent pointless. You could test negative today and positive in 10 days.

Also contact with someone who had contact with someone who has Covid is pretty tenuous.

Mine came in around 24 hours.

I was really impressed

I had a test at 9.30 on Thursday and had the results email 6.30 the following morning and the text half hour later.

They really need to turn the tests around quickly so people don't have to isolate unnecessarily.

I work in a care home and having routine testing and each week they're not coming back for 4 days!! (At least) what is the point....

72 hours for me, dd and df

DDs came back in 23 hours.

Mine was 4pm Friday, results 9m Sunday - I wasn't sure if the weekend affected it? Both were negative.

Tested in car 11 am Sunday - result via text 4am Monday

yesterday at 10am.and result at 10.50pm same day

12 hours for a drive thru both times I’ve been tested. 4/5 days for care home staff and residents (which in my opinion is disgraceful!).

I had a test on Monday, results came back on Wednesday, inconclusive!
Had another on Thursday and still waiting the results. No symptoms or anything.
I work in a carehome so we are testing weekly.
Can’t go back unti I get a negative result.
Already missed four days this week!

Test approx 1pm last Sunday, result back at 11pm Monday via email and a text early next day. I have been told others have been back even sooner.

Just under 12 hrs for me - I thought it was very impressive! Hopefully not long before they can cut the waiting times even more.

I'm just such a worry wart and I don't want to go home until I know it's safe, even though it properly is anyway.

I had the test at 6:30pm on Friday and still not heard anything. I'm guessing it is maybe a weekend thing that's making it take longer
