Bollocks! Test came back unclear

Yesterday's test result was unclear. Did another today and gagged even more than yesterday has anyone had a successful result after an unclear one?

Yes me, I watched the video about how to do it properly second time around and decided that you need to give the swab a really good shove up your nose!!

Yes! I went to a test centre for my second one under the assumption that there would be a nurse doing the swab. Nope! Had to do it again myself. I think second time around I remembered to blow my nose prior to swabbing. Got a negative result.

Yep I watched the video, blew my nose and took scissors to cut the swab as the first one snapped too high and was bent in the tube which could be the problem too. Fingers crossed!

Unclear AGAIN

I’ve done a couple & I'm amazed that they haven’t come back unclear! The back of the throat swab is a killer for me.

I had two Unclears in a row and felt like a failure, it's so frustrating isn't it? Plus life is on hold. I rang 119 for advice and they weren't especially helpful, but they did suggest going to a walk through centre as I might get more support.

I did, they were correct, and I got Negative, and then did same all over again (with a clear result) a week later.

I found the difference is just someone supporting you, and also I was more careful about it because I was being watched, iyswim!

I've given up. I needed a negative test to book a certain holiday (I'll probably get flamed for that) but I don't think I could possibly do the test any more carefully than I did yesterday, I did it to the letter. Back to the drawing board.

I did one a while ago through the zoe app and was amazed it came back negative (as opposed to unclear) as I gagged loads and it was slightly bent.

I did another today (due to reporting a headache on weds) and it actually went better but despite blowing my nose, I noticed a tiny bit of clear snot (gross sorry!) on the swab so am going to guess it will come back unclear. I am going away tomorrow but luckily because this test was for the zoe app, and i don't have any symptoms, I do not need to isolate. If it comes back unclear, I won't retake the test.
