Toddler has a cold...

Runny nose, sneezing, coughing, temp 37 (so OK).

Obviously I'm sure it's a cold but at what point do I think differently? Does the cough mean we self isolate??

She's only 22mo so too young for a test. No idea where she's got it from. We've stayed in our bubble all week and any shop visits she sits in her pushchair!

Why would a test mean 2 days off work?? You can get home tests?

Why would 2 be too young for a test?

@KitKatastrophe

Like it or not, lots of people are going to have to take days off or work from home while they get a test and wait for the results. Because testing is the only way to differentiate between colds and Covid 19. Nobody is going to want sniffly/ill people in work, schools and nurseries this autumn/winter, and they'll need to take a test to come back.

Thanks everyone.

Home tests ordered. 12yo dd now has a tummy ache so got one her as well.

Toddler has bouts of coughing, that is classed as continuous coughing at that age. No temp but runny nose and obviously not feeling great.

I assumed under 5s weren't tested. They announced a while ago that anyone over 5 could get a test. I don't remember seeing anything about under 5s!

I'll update with the results.

hope you are all ok, fingers crossed it’s negative.

Older dd is totally fine and was after half an hour of tummy pain.

Toddler is still snotty but apart from that totally fine!

We'll all be hypochondriacs after this...
