What do you think? Will it be safe to go there next week? I'm thinking of booking a family holiday to Corfu...

I should also add we could go to Turkey using our credit note but would prefer Greece

Sorry but this is a kind of a question no one can answer how do you know ? Personally I would not book anywhere this year unless you are prepared to isolate

We are booked for Corfu on Friday. If you can go and risk the chance that you will need to quarantine on your return then book.

It’s looking increasingly likely the air corridor between the uk and Greece will cease over the next week to two.

Cases are around 21 per 100,000 and rising by around 1 a day at the moment. France got to about 35 when they introduced the quarantine measures although 30 seems to be the figure that it needs to hit before they start looking at things.

Thank you @Ellsbells12 @Clicktop
We have a credit note to use before the kids go back in September.
I did look at Cyprus but I think it will be tricky getting tested in time.
Don't want to end up getting quarantined and the DC have to miss even more school.

Cases are rising in Greece but they are specific clusters in 2 cities on the mainland. A wedding party and a factory mainly.

The Govt have taken measures which will be reviewed in 2 weeks, but it is a long way from closing borders.

Following as we're off to Greece in under 2 weeks. Not worried about having to isolate after as childfree and DH WFH, but concerned about going against FCO advice. DH is currently looking at single trip insurance with companies that cover travel against FCO advice. Battleface was reasonable at £52 for the pair of us! We're supposed to be heading for one of the islands where I think they've had one single case...
