Home Test instructions so SO bad

Just did a home test (recommended by the Zoe app after having diarrhoea for a few days).
The instructions on how to register the kit online before taking it are SHIT.
It sends you to a link (printed in booklet) which does not let you register. Then I googled, tried three or four other gov.uk links - no joy. Eventually found a link through the test providers Randox which finally links to the correct sodding page - entirely different link to one provided!

Then you have three barcodes to scan. It was not AT ALL clear which was which. Took about three goes to get the whole damn palaver done.

I mean, I'm not stupid, I can think independently, AND crucially, I'm not feeling unwell (apart from rumbling bowels). If I were elderly, or unwell, or not an English as a first language speaker, I don't know that I'd have got it done at all.

Such shit comms.

The actual test was fine - bit grim to do, but well explained.

Why is this so poorly done? FFS.

I had the same experience. I wonder if other countries have the same UK emphasis on home testing kits?

I said the same last year. I am a single parent so no adult support. Took me 10 minutes to put the bloody box together. If I’d been unwell, I am not sure I’d have managed and what if I’d been too unwell to drive?

Glad it's not just me! I was worried I was losing my marbles!

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who couldn’t get the box together. Thought I was just being useless! Took me about 20 minutes faffing about until it was done!

That's weird! I had one barcode. Also had to add my test number and the postal reference. It was ok though.

Still waiting for my results

AFAIK there is no home testing here in Germany (if it does exist nobody talks about it), you have to go to an approved centre. So obviously all the tests that get done are carried out properly by medical professionals and get correctly processed. Lord knows how many positive results are being missed in the UK.
