I've been checking everywhere, but I can't see the promised guidelines from the government for schools in England. Our headteacher was expecting them today. Have I missed them somewhere?

I thought the update was tomorrow

I was thinking the same op I thought they were meant to give an update today :(

I wanted to see them too but nothing yet. I was hoping they would change the rule re two positive tests to close a bubble.

Track and trace only need you to have been with one person to self isolate so madness that schools only self isolate after two cases meaning children and staff could spend hours/days with others who are infected.

Not to mention wanting the addition of PPE, SD, blended learning etc.

It was definitely today according to an email from school recently. We have all been pestering them and were told they were waiting to see what changes we being made today before releasing their guidance.

I thought there was going to be one today but there wasn't. There was an update on the 7th but not many changes .

Completely agree with you @IceCreamAndCandyfloss. In particular, I'm thinking that as young people often have mild symptoms, there could easily be a lot of cases in school by the time someone develops symptoms noticeable enough to prompt them to get tested.

They have just made a shock announcement in respect of how A-Level and GCSE grades can be solely based on mock grades, so have probably been busy on that!

Did you manage to find any updated guidance for schools?
