How long for covid test centre results

I'm feeling so impatient. DC and myself tested this morning. Expecting negatives but just want confirmed.

Also have other people managed to get valid results from their toddler? I tried my best but no way was that swab in his throat for 10-15 secs. Dreading an 'invalid result'

Fingers crossed it's soon

Tested myself DH and DS (20 months) yesterday at 6:30pm. Still waiting for results. Was told it would be 24 hours despite the leaflet saying 2 days. Really hoping is doesn’t come back inconclusive for DS. That was an experience I’d rather not repeat any time soon!

I had one yesterday 8am. 31 hours and still waiting. They did say 48 hours.

Wish I had mine back as fast! I had it at 8am Wednesday and nothing yet. In the mean time 2 members of my household have now had to have 3 days off work with no sick pay no wonder people don’t bother following the rules! Have called the number to try and chase and they said can be up to 5 days and nothing they can do.

All three of us were tested about 6:30pm. My little boy’s results came back about 25 hours later, my results and DH’s results came through at 6am the day after (36 hours later). Thankfully all negative but that same day four kids from DS’s room at nursery had symptoms and went for tests. It’s going to be a long winter doing this for every temperature and cough! Better safe than sorry though IMO.

Mine has now come back (negative) - took 32 hours. I'm in London in case there is a regional variance.

I got mine same day.

My nanny's result took 48 hrs - thankfully negative.

4 and a half days and still waiting for results for my daughter's test. :( I phoned 119 to follow it up when we hadn't heard after 72 hours and they just said they will investigate but they can see the test registered in the system so it might just be slow. Ridiculous!
