Bedbound with fatigue - symptom?

Full disclosure, I have chronic fatigue but can usually function to some degree, get up, shower, cook and eat, do housework etc. Some days better than others.
But since Friday night I've felt awful. First had a bit of a sore stomach. Not diarrhea, just cramping and a little difficult to pass and had hot flashes and chills/shakes afterwards. This set off my anxiety so I was panicky and just felt exhausted after. This has happened before (ibs) so just thought it was a bad day. Tossed and turned through the night, still exhausted Saturday. Slept all day. That's normally enough to help me recover from bad days. But I couldn't get up. Extreme fatigue, nausea. I ate what I could but just wanted sleep. I often get body aches but I had really bad pain all over that wouldn't shift. Pain is better now, less nausea but I am still so so tired. I slept last night, dozed this morning through to afternoon, had some toast at 7pm then fell asleep again. I cannot wake up, I could barely go to the loo to pee, I don't have energy to brush my teeth or eat dinner, no appetite.

Does this sound familiar to anyone who's tested positive? I haven't really left the house lately and DH has just been wfh and going to get shopping twice a week. He felt absolutely knackered on Saturday and fell asleep on the couch but is better now.

No cough, no breathing issues but I feel exhausted when I climb the stairs. I have a dry sore throat but I have been running the fan because of warm weather. I just wondered if anyone had had these symptoms and nothing else! Tomorrow will be day 5.

Sorry, not tested as I got sick back in mid March, as did a couple of dozen others in mine and DH's offices (Birmingham). Whatever I had, it made me very tired: a bodily, overwhelming exhaustion I have never experienced before. I had a sore throat early on, plus long running low grade fever. Felt short of breath climbing stairs, folding laundry, changing the bed was like a full workout! FWIW, I am 44, no previous health issues.

Hope you feel better soon. Flowers

Thanks - whatever it is, really awful isn't it? Can I ask how long yours lasted? If it keeps up I might order a test, not going anywhere at this rate either way!

Sounds very similar to what my sister had in March. She was unwell for about 2 weeks.
Take care

The Zoe Covid 19 app would definitely recommend you get a test imo. It asks about these symptoms daily. You need to move fast though to get an accurate result. Book a home test now or a drive through today.

OP, you don't mention if you checked your temp. I had the same exhaustion and aching all over, bad stomach cramp and sore throat but my temp was 36 throughout. Get well soon.

Unfortunately tried to order a couple of home test kits, got through all the process only for it to say no home tests available for delivery to my address. We don't have a car so can't do drive through testing. Will just have to stay indoors just in case!

I haven't checked temp as we have no thermometer. But no fever, feel pretty normal in that regard.

It sounds incredibly unlikely to be covid. The community rate is tiny and neither of you really leave the house, and your symptoms sound like your day to day symptoms of cfs but worse than usual. You won't know for sure unless you test though. Some pharmacies sell the test privately as well. It is worth trying the home test website again in case it was a supply issue.

I'm sure they don't release the current day's allocation until the morning, maybe 8am. Not sure.
