Would you have a test?

My throat has felt a bit scratchy for the last few days but is less so today, I feel all congested with a runny nose and sinus pains, I feel tired and have a headache from time to time and my glands are up on one side of my neck. I don't feel unwell enough to call in sick to work but I'm wondering whether I should have a covid test (and obviously await the result before going in)? Or am I being stupid as I haven't got any of the 3 main ones (temp, cough or change in taste / smell). That said, I can't really smell but that's more to do with congestion. Would appreciate any thoughts. Cheers.

Yes, definitely.

Why wouldn't you? I'd have one out of curiosity if nothing else

I had a streaming cold last week, and a mild temp. Not really Covid symptoms at all, but I was seeing elderly mum and decided to be cautious, so went on-line and booked a test. They only ask you to tick a box saying you have symptoms, got a drive in test within the hour, and results back in under 24 hours. They have capacity, you might as well use it. I was negative by the way, but now have a hacking cough, which is really embarrassing, and difficult to suppress when out and about. There does seem to be a summer cold going round...... and I caught it somehow, rest of the family fine.

Thanks, I'll book a drive through. I was doubting myself because when I did the nhs quiz it didn't say to book one. Main thing bothering me is runny nose and headache.

If NHS quiz didn't say to get test then I would not get test.
Hope you feel much better soon.

The Covid app basically sends anyone with a headache for a test as it's a very common symptom. I'd get one. Download the Zoe Covid app and get symptom tracking, then you'd be officially told to do one
