DB has sprung a short notice wedding on us in a registry office at the end of August. They had to cancel their ‘proper’ wedding in June but they’ve decided to have a small ceremony in August and postpone the ‘real’ wedding till 2022.

That’s in the south of England and I’m in north wales. I also work in tourism and I’d have to take time off over the bank holiday (not ideal) and stay for three nights ina hotel.

I can’t help feeling there’s no point even asking for the time off as I half expect restrictions to be imposed either in wales or in Kent/London that mean I wouldn’t be able to go.

What do you think? Before anyone jumps on me, MN won’t be making my decision for me, I’m just curious as to what others think!

I couldn’t miss DB wedding so I would have to request the time & book the hotel & hope it went ahead.
