I only booked one for my toddler and no one suggested I have one as well.

Lindy2 · 01/08/2020 20:39

A couple of weeks ago mine took around 12 hours. South East.

I went at about 8.30am in the morning and had the results that evening.

Ok good - weekend doesn’t seem to make a difference. Fingers crossed for a result overnight then!

There's lots of testing capacity at the moment and the more mild/asymptomatic cases they identify the more chance of reducing infection rates.

dingdang · 01/08/2020 21:07

I did a home test a couple of weeks ago, collected on Wednesday and got the results on Friday at 6pm

dingdang · 01/08/2020 21:11

I'm in London

Mommabear20 · 01/08/2020 21:16

I had one in hospital (induced labour) and got told the next day it was negative (maybe 36 hours after swab done).
My SIL has a post test 2 weeks ago and got her results in 48 hours.

Mommabear20 · 01/08/2020 21:16

Forgot to say we're in Yorkshire

Pl242 · 02/08/2020 07:24

Thanks for this thread OP. I came looking for one on it last night as in exactly the same position as you. Toddler with temp from cold with test as precaution. Tested at 3pm yesterday. Negative result at 7am today so 16 hour turnaround for us. In London. Hope you get a negative result and it comes in time for you to enjoy your day.

Smarshian · 02/08/2020 07:40

Ah that’s good. We are still waiting for results here. Praying they come through in the next couple of hours.

I'm maybe not understanding this but why can't you go? You've no symptoms and your son only had a temp..........
