Approx 18 hrs, south west

WhatHaveIFound · 01/08/2020 20:12

Yorkshire - 11 days and it came back as failed. This was early on during lockdown so hopefully things have improved now.

Smarshian · 01/08/2020 20:12

Oh this is giving me hope! We want to go to the zoo tomorrow with family who we haven’t seen for 6 months. Had a test today at 2pm so hoping to get the result in the morning so we can go as planned.

I posted mine. Results in around 18 hours, North West. A friend had a drive through test in Liverpool, two days ago, results in 12 hours.

Ponoka7 · 01/08/2020 20:13

What are your symptoms?

Smarshian · 01/08/2020 20:14

Yay this all sounds great - we are also in the north west

ChristmasinJune · 01/08/2020 20:14

North West England too, 20 hours.

Smarshian · 01/08/2020 20:15

My son had a temperature on Thursday night (I think he’s teething). They offered us all a test when we were there.

We booked for a drive-in (Midlands). You do your own swab but they teach you and when done you hand over in a bag. 12 hours.

Gecko85 · 01/08/2020 20:16

12 hours. Test at 3:30pm and result emailed about 3am the next morning. South East.

notaskingforafriend · 01/08/2020 20:17

Drive through last week, 28 hours & 20 hours

Smarshian · 01/08/2020 20:18

Ah you are all giving me hope

What are your symptoms ?!

Smarshian · 01/08/2020 20:20

I don’t have symptoms but my son had a temp on Thursday night and they tested all of us when we arrived at the test centre

OP posts:
whatswithtodaytoday · 01/08/2020 20:22

26 hours a couple of weeks ago, east.

Sunshinegirl82 · 01/08/2020 20:24

11 hours. Tested at 7pm, results through at 6am the following morning.

thinkingcapon · 01/08/2020 20:27

Crikey ....that seems v overly cautious of your sons gp

northernlass81 · 01/08/2020 20:29

10 hours, drive through in the North west

Oly4 · 01/08/2020 20:31

How is it overly cautious?! If anyone has a temp you must book a test. It’s probably not Covid but could well be and this is how we stop it spreading.
OP, we had one this morning (son with temp) and still waiting but around 80% of drive through tests come back in 24 hours. We’re also hoping to salvage the weekend but will accept our fate if not

hairycabbage · 01/08/2020 20:31

South West a few days ago and 26 hours for result. Dh drove me there and they recommended everyone in the car also took the test so he got a test too (both negative)

Gecko85 · 01/08/2020 20:32

That's interesting Smarshian. We only booked my son in to get a test, but when we got there they encouraged all of us to get tested anyway. I wonder if they are trying to get test numbers up!
Smarshian · 01/08/2020 20:34

I think it makes sense to test everyone once your there. I guess if one has it then the others might.
