Information on the tutoring programme?

I remember this was discussed a few months ago as a programme to help children catch up over summer (specifically those at greater risk, but maybe it'll be extended to more pupils).

Has any more been said on this?

I think further details were released saying that teachers need to assess each student and draw up a plan of which areas need addressing. Then they can be referred for tutoring. And it's also up to the teachers to monitor/ assess the effectiveness of the tutoring. (Sounds like a lot of work for the poor teachers.) None of that will happen until September.

Thanks that's interesting. I wonder if it'll create a wealth of jobs for others (including ex teachers and other graduates who are specialists in their fields).

No idea. Am guessing school's will wait until the money is actually in their bank accounts before buying in all that tutoring given the government hasn't kept to it's funding promises over the last term with the additional costs for COVID.
